We are experiencing a surge of new clients afraid they will not have food to eat in November. The Missouri Department of Social Services informed over 650,000 Missourians that they will not receive their benefits next month. Tearful federal workers are asking for help for the first time. Families that barely get by are scared they will not eat. WIC recipients are waiting to hear if federal funding will be restored.
